If you share information about your household address with us then we can use this to identify your council and Council Tax band using a third party lookup. We then use this data to forecast your next we month spend based on the rates that a councils have announced.

We can retrieve information from our data partners about your council and Council Tax band. However if we cannot match your address, then we use the modal Council Tax band for your postcode.

We calculate your expected spend based on your council and Council Tax band. We then sum the charges within different tax years and compare what you’ll spend in the next 12 months with what you spent in the last 12 months.
There are a number of reasons why a household may receive a discount on their Council Tax bill. A list of these can be found on the government website. Our calculations do not account for this as we are unable to identify these discounts based on your address.
Our Council Tax forecast does not take into account local variation in the parish charge. This may mean that our forecast differs from the amount shown on your Council Tax bill.
